I wondered to myself last week, if this would be the year that I just couldn’t, or wouldn’t continue this annual practice. If ever there was a year to succumb to the more crumbly parts of my nature...well, this is one I’d give myself a pass on. Then, on Thanksgiving, the New York Times published Gratitude in Six Words, a collection of submissions from readers, piggy backing on the Six-Word Memoir form by Larry Smith. It was such a good reminder that sometimes the simplest words can be the most liberating. So, here I am with a whisper of an invitation. I’ll be tiptoeing my way to the end of the year, finding gratitude each day along the way. I’ll be giving this new (super) short form a try, maybe with images, maybe not. I’ve dusted off the old blog to have an archive that isn’t Facebook or Instagram, in case I decide to finally quit the scrolling, scrolling, scrolling for good. Please join me if it speaks to you...or don’t if it’s not the year for you. #thirtydayswithagratefulheart #thirtydayswithagratefulheart2020
